Nissan GT-R Nismo: This Is It

Imagine a Nissan GT-R, but fast. That would give you this: The Nissan GT-R Nismo. 595 horsepower. 7:08 around the Nurburgring. Suck on that, everyone.

It's what we expected, an even faster GT-R. The 3.8 liter V6 has 595 horsepower and 480 pound feet of torque. Rumor had it getting to 60 in just 2.0 seconds, but that hasn't been nearly confirmed yet. And would be amazing if it were true.

It rides on big 20 inch wheels with Dunlop SP Sport MAXX GT 600 rubber, which are supposedly super sticky.

Not like Gorilla Glue, mind you, but race-carish rubber. The tires would be the limiting factor in an insane 0 to 60 time, so maybe this is where they worked the hardest. They also put it on a 143 pound Biggest Loser-esque diet, which means the GT-R might finally be on track to be a car that doesn't feel lethargic at times and transfers way too much weight over elevation changes.

A track pack will get it around the 'Ring in 7:08, which is pure nutso territory.

Pricing will be less that $200,000. We'll know more at the LA Show.
