Well, things just got a little more interesting at the U.S. Grand Prix. Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton may have been the fastest during Friday's practices, but it's his teammate Nico Rosberg who will start on pole tomorrow afternoon.
Of course, Hamilton — winner of the inaugural race in 2012 — isn't far behind him. He'll start in second, followed by Valtteri Bottas in third.
"Great day, I'm very happy," Rosberg said at a post-qualifying press conference. "The balance was good. It was quite a challenge because the wind was changing." It's a breezy, cool and sunny day out at Circuit of the Americas, and while it's nowhere near as hot as last year's race, it has warmed up quite a bit throughout the day.
Hamilton experienced some issues with his brakes locking up during qualifying, the same troubles the Mercedes cars have been having all season.
