1980s TV fans, Firebird nuts and David Hasselhoff fetishists will likely converge in a steel cage match to se who'll get their hands on this KITT replica, which the owner has put up for sale.
Built from a 1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA, with a conversion kit from the erstwhile Diamondback Automotive of New Jersey, the car looks like a near perfect facsimile of the original — a 1982 Trans Am — and even includes MP3 sound effects of KITT's "voice" and the famous red-lit scanner. The price is a bit steep, at $25,000, but we'd bet the right buyer could make that back in a year's worth of guest appearances at fan events, if they had the stomach for it.
