New Isuzu Pickups to Be Built in Shreveport

And the Bon Ami award for "Brand that Just Won't Die" officially goes to Isuzu. The desperately ailing (in terms of US brand performance) longtime GM partner will get two new pickups based on the Chevy Colorado and the GMC Canyon in 2006. The midsized i-280 and i-350 trucks, to be built in GM's Shreveport, LA plant, will be differentiated by subtle cosmetic cues, a slightly lower price (we're guessing) and empty dealerships.
