Ford's GT supercar totally did not need another quality snafu to taint its reputation. First, a fuel-tank issue required many to be replaced, then cracks found in several control arms lead the company to warn owners not to drive their cars until a fix was found. Now, an oil-leak problem related to the crankshaft is leading dealers to equip some cars with a Speedi-Sleeve, a novel approach used by a previous owner of our erstwhile '84 Buick Regal, which only cost less than the GT by a factor of a thousand. What's more, according to AutoWeek, Ford has issued nine technical service bulletins and one special service message on the GT, though none yet mentioned a strong undertone of citrus coming from the $150,000 cars.
