Mitsubishi's Colt franchise is growing by one, Pininfarina-built cabrio version of the minicar — already in coupe and hatchback variants. An homage to Mitsubishi's first show car, the Colt 600 Convertible, unveiled at the 1962 Tokyo Motor Show, the Colt CZC coup -cabriolet for production will appear at the Geneva motor show in late February (likely surrounded by Mitsu's typical cadre of spectacular European turntable models) alongside its coltish siblings. The CZC, which is built on the hatchback's bones at Pininfarina's plant near Turin, Italy, sports a retractable hardtop, 2+2 seating and a 1.5-liter MIVEC turbo four producing 150hp, a top speed of 125 mph and zero-to-62 mph time of 8.4 seconds. Euro buyers will get their droptops just in time for Speedo season in mid-2006.
