Caddy is pricing its tuner XLR-V at a cool $100,000 when it goes on sale later this year, just so everyone who really wanted a Mercedes SL55 AMG, but had to pay junior's junior college bill first, could have a consolation prize. Still, with disappointing sales of the XLR being blamed on "ramp up," we wonder whether the performance enhancements alone (zero to sixty in five seconds?) are enough to bring in sales at that level.
