Manwich - now Keto-Friendly
Now let's hope they're not stupidly equipped with Lead-Acid batteries like the Orion Hybrids that the Toronto Transit Commission bought.
Those buses the TTC bought are having battery problems AND are only saving about 10% on fuel.
And I suspect that the main culprit is the choice (by Daimler) of battery... probably because it was the cheap route.
Lead-Acid is the WORST battery chemistry to use in situations where deep discharging is the norm... which means that they are the worst for hybrids and EVs.
The buses that the TTC bought don't even shut off the engine in situations where the vehicle isn't moving.
