Royal Canadian Mounted Police tried to stop an unidentified motorcyclist for reckless driving when the dude ran for it, leading cops all over the city of Surrey and straight through the front door of Wal-Mart and down escalators. Oh yeah; he got away and cops still can't find him.
The chase went down on February 20, authorities have just released the video in the hopes that somebody can help identify this renegade who, I'll say again, got away from cops on foot, in cars, and in a helicopter by riding his motorcycle through the doors of Wal-Mart, down an escalator, and out into the ether of wherever, Canada.
The Calgary Sun says authorities are currently looking for "a white male in his 40s, last seen near 192 St. and 96 Ave." Surrey Leader says he's still at large as of March 13, 2015 and his blue Harley-Davidson is "believed to be stolen."
I'm as big a fan of law and order as the next guy but jeez, this one seriously ambitious escape effort. I honestly hardly thought it was even possible to escape from the cops... especially when they've got a helicopter camera pinned on you. But apparently this guy found the Pay-N-Spray before the mounties could catch up with him.
Here's being thankful nobody was hurt in this chase, and that justice is served in short order. If you recognize this nutter or the motorcycle call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS to stay anonymous.
