Cruisers aren't my thing. The appeal of a bike – light, nimble, a surgical weapon to slice through traffic – is completely negated when straddling on an over-endowed barcalounger. But this Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Prototype somehow manages to overcome my distain with acres of carbon fiber badassitude.
Basically, it's a rebodied Moto Guzzi California 1400, with a custom fairing and sweeping tail mixed with carbon fiber bits and matte black paint. The only color is the red heads, brakes and that subtle splash on the front fender.
And if you're curious about the name, the "21" is the size of the front wheel, which is just a XXL pizza dish of carbon fiber. Yes, it would suck in the wind, be horrible around town, and even worse to park, but if Guzzi wanted to take a stab at the Harleys, Victorys, and Indians of the world, it could do worse than this Italian-American streamliner freak. Hell, I'd even take it for a run down the coast.
