Get Bruce on the horn, stat. Germany's AutomobilWoche reports that Mercedes-Benz and its in-house tweakers at AMG and DTM will produce at least two new models offering DTM performance for the street. If you'll recall, HWA was the motorsport division of AMG before Mercedes took a major stake in AMG; it's been and independent entity ever since. HWA also built the 612-hp supercar CLK-GTR in 1999, which sold for 1.5 million Euros, as well as the too-few-produced CLK-DTM of 2004. The next HWA model will be something like a new SLC (possibly even with that designation), a hi-po coupe slotted between the big-bux SLR and the SL55 AMG. After that, a new road-going sports car with performance similar to the DTM race car will emerge from the werks, according to HWA boss Hans Jürgen Mattheis. Yes, please, with sauerbraten on top.
