AutoWeek has more info on Mercury's Meta One concept, set to debut next month in Detroit. The diesel-electric hybrid concept, powered by a 2.7-liter 248hp twin-turbo diesel with an electric motor tacked on, showcases some of FoMoCo's new safety technologies, such as lane-departure warning and object avoidance systems. These systems will likely replace the now-pass "check your mirrors and hit the blinker" and "if you see an object, turn the steering wheel" systems.
