After seeing the interior on the Audi Sportback Concept, we’re feeling kind of bad for making fun of it yesterday. The CLS/X6 rival is starting to look seriously nice.
Utterly irrelevant segment aside, check out the new, warmer interior look from Audi. Gone is harsh Teutonic functionality, replaced with a more inviting feel from curved metals, medium-tone woods and white leather. The press conference for this thing is coming up in less than an hour, so stay tuned for more details and live shots.

DISCUSSION
I really like this execution of the "four-door coupé" style. The Panamera is hideous, the Rapide is interesting, the CLS is old, but I think this will look very good in the metal. Audi has a way of giving their cars a road presence that doesn't always come through in pics (A5?).
As for the interior, I think it's a great step out of the heavy Teutonic style and into real luxury territory - hope it'll make the production version. It has a definite feel of Flavio Manzoni (worked with him at Lancia, now he's VW's "Head of Creative Design"). Most brilliant interior designer I've ever seen.
