A Minivan carrying a Colorado couple, their daughter and three friends slid on ice and plunged from a mountain pass 400 feet down into a ravine. That all six survived intact, but for minor injuries, testifies either to one Minivan's quality, the fortitude of a family in peril, the shock-reducing qualities of snow or the implausability of simple luck. All three, most likely. Oh, and living in the Rockies ain't for sissies.
