Word on the street is Mercedes' mid-engined P8 concept has been put on hold by new Mercedes-Benz boss Ekhard Cordes. The V8-powered P8 was to be the next supercar, after the SLR McLaren, to be developed through the partnership between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. The rumor mill had pegged its release for 2007.
