Metallica — 'The Unforgiven'

Traffic sucks, so why not start your morning off with some music? You provide the toast and we’ll provide the jams.

Yes, today’s choice is extremely overplayed and has been for roughly 18 million years, but you know what? I still love it.

I actually wrote two major papers in college about this video and the meaning/symbolism behind the set-forth story. Basically, I said that the child represents a generation, aimlessly navigating life and ends up in a massive problem that they cannot escape from. The generation spent its entire life trying to formulate an escape from the room; when it finds the solution, the generation chooses to block the entrance of the trap room so that the next generation cannot become ensnared instead of using the block to escape.

I got an A on both papers, and the second one I wrote senior year was used as an example to future classes on how to abstractly write using symbolisms found in pop culture.  So, basically, I’m either smart or a dumbass that can bullshit his way through a class with an A by watching mindless TV.
