Metallica — 'Breadfan'

Why was Metallica so good at playing covers of '70s metal songs? Have you ever heard the name of the band that played "Breadfan" originally? Me neither. They were a Welsh metal band called Budgie, and while not bad, their rendition of their own song lacked the vitality Metallica's thrash cover pumped into it. But — and I may be entering the realm of metal heresy here — Metallica may have even played a radder version of "Sabbra Cadabra" than even the great Black Sabbath themselves. I feel dirty saying it, but man ... shit ROCKS!
