Mazdaspeed3, er Axela, Debuts in Japan

The Mazdaspeed3 is debuting in Japan this week as the Mazdaspeed Axela, which while similar to the US model, gets around 10 additional horses tugging at the reins. That means instead of a relatively piddly 250 hp, buyers of the J-spec model will enjoy a generous 260 hp. It's always the case that the tiny country with barely any room to drive gets the more powerful models than the country with twice as much space than it knows what to do with. Shouldn't there be some kind of automotive Fairness Doctrine? Who's with me!?
