Once again in Washington this morning, GM CEO Mary Barra, her staff, and the company's "culture" got hammered over the recall crisis. But while lawmakers and pundits are outraged, does any of it really matter when GM's sales are consistently through the roof? Oppo's Jonathon Klein weighs in.

He makes some interesting points here, and as long as sales are good and shareholders are happy, there's little business case for fixes. But I think we haven't yet glimpsed long-term damage from all the recalls. Plus, all the lawsuits and settlements could be what really sting GM in the end.
