Man, It's Been a Long Time Since the Excel Hatchback: Hyundai Concept Genesis Coming to New York

You already know Hyundai's working up a high-end, rear-drive V8 sedan, the likes of which today's Buick could only dream. In its prototype form, as photographed by spy shooters, we've referred to this sedan as the Equus, after the upscale cruiser sold in Korea under the same name. Now, the company's released sketches of the Concept Genesis, the car that will become the Equus's replacement and Hyundai's ticket to the Captain's table. It will debut at the New York auto show next month, where Hyundai will solidify its position as a first-world car company, or live to try another day. It's not quite a "Ben Hur" narrative, but there you go. [Thanks to Phil for the tip.]
