If unearthing cars stuck wasn't your favorite winter sport there was a simple solution in 1983—drive a Jeep. While those other chumps were trying to unearth their big rear wheel drive cars, you could be flying through the snow in any assortment of new Jeeps from the Cherokee to the Scrambler.
Those who didn't purchase a Jeep were still trying to enlist friendly neighbors to push their car while the Jeep owner was bombing through the snow and wondering how the heat/defrost could be so useless (at least if you were in a CJ or a Scrambler).

Even if you may have been freezing, bombing through the snow in a new Jeep certainly looks and sounds like a superior winter sport to pushing cars.
