Here we have one of the most weirdly choreographed car-crash scenes in cinematic history, taken from 1971 Jacques Tati film, Trafic.

It may not have quite the cornucopia of cool old European iron that we saw in Jean-Luc Godard's Week End, but we see Citroëns, a Mini Clubman, even a DAF! Thanks to SOS10 for the tip!

Everything about this scene is so preposterous that it's epic. The Citroen going up on its front wheels as the fedora-sporting driver calmly looks out the window, hits the Mini Traveler which just starts spinning in place, clips another car which bumps into the 2CV. The 2CV's front tire detaches and just fucking launches away. The Beetle gets hit and chases the tire going OM NOM NOM NOM NOM. Silence. Everyone calmly gets out, starts looking things over, then a Morris Minor hits a tree for no reason. Absolutely and completely epic.
