Obviously, most civilian contractors in Iraq don't get government-issue motor gear like Humvees. That means they've got to use their Halliburton bux to build their own vehicles to protect themselves while on mobile security detail. As this Flickr photo spread indicates, the private security contractors have modified Detroit's and Japan's finest to become makeshift gun trucks. We'd imagine this Chevrolet Avalanche (above) is wishing it'd been adopted by a guy who just wanted to load up a barbecue grill and pull his party boat to Lake Mead. [Thanks to Stephen for the tip.]
