We must make amends with the people of Chicago. Regarding our post on the Toyota Tundra's debut at the Chicago auto show next month, Chicagoan-via-Phoenix Isaac writes "only morons slinging dogs nowhere near the Second City would blaspheme a hot dog with lettuce." Actually, we should have said "relish," though it's the peppers, poppy bun and celery salt that make the Chicago garden dogs pop. Anyway, dogs aside, another Chicago unveiling from Toyota worth noting is the fifth-generation Lexus ES — the ES 350, which will get a 45hp boost from Toyota's new 3.5-liter mill and a glass roof [thanks, Elmo]. The perpetual snoozer is set for a makeover that includes all-new underpinnings, designe language, and more luxurious interior. As satisfying as a dog with the works? Eh.
