Lexus revealed its newest GS and SC models for the Japanese market, which will go on sale in late August (with the IS following in September). Toyota hopes Japanese salarymen (and women) will put aside their preference for German sedans and opt for the domestic stuff, as Toyota's first luxury brand begins selling in Japan on August 30. The company's expectations are likely to be low at first, as it must establish itself as deserving of the prestige heaped on imports.
