Our eyes and ears on the ground at the Los Angeles auto show informed us that Ferrari reps had un po di difficolt (a bit o' trouble) presenting the company's Superamerica roadster. A demonstration of the car's really, truly awesome power top, in front of a few hundred members of the automotive press, was contravened by a dead battery. Word on the street is, the battery had been installed by a senior member of Fiat's accounting staff. [Update: 001 and the boyz at AutoSpies have posted some photos of the incident, in which Ferrari's suits scramble to fix the situation, while the blazer-over-jeans—clad press corps sip their gratis martinis and savor the schadenfreude.]
