If you tried thinking of a good car for your Mom this Mother's Day, you'd probably come up with something nice and practical, yet fun. Mazda 6, maybe or a fun little BMW. But those things require no thought, no real imagination. No, the car for Mom needs a mani/pedi chair, and also maybe marshmallow wheels.
Ford asked a bunch of children (these are the humans that have not yet reached full adult-size, and also maturity, though there are exceptions to both, in case you're forgetting) to imagine the perfect cars for their mothers, and then unleashed the illustrators upon those designs.
And since nobody knows mothers better than their children, we now have a general approximation of what adult women would like, in the marketplace. Rocket-propelled minivan time machines and monster trucks for everyone, yay!
