Jalopnik Is Looking For A Video Producer To Come Make Rad Videos With Us

Hello, friends. Blessings upon you all. I trust that your summer is off to a wonderful start. Mine? Not so much, and that’s because I desperately want to get out there and make more Jalopnik videos. But we need your help to do it! Come work with us.

Be advised today that Jalopnik is currently hiring a Video Producer. We are looking for someone with more than two years experience in digital video production and who is obsessed with car culture to help turn our best stories into memorable videos across multiple platforms.

If you are made of stern enough stuff, you will accompany Jalopnik’s cast of miscreants around the country and the world, where you will shoot and then edit our escapades into things people might actually watch. Additionally, you’re expected to pitch video stories to us as well, and also work on shorter news-y videos with a quick turnaround. We’re looking for a creative self-starter who can wear a lot of different hats.

This is a full-time position with benefits in GMG’s unionized newsroom in New York. (Yes, you have to be in New York. I just moved here and it’s great.)

Please apply using this link, and feel free to email me directly if you have any questions. Come make videos with us!

Editor-in-Chief at Jalopnik. 2002 Toyota 4Runner.

This is me all over...cept the new york bit. Seriously I would love to apply for this but I have a hard time picturing the salary being enough to match my quality of living here...union and all...If you ever need a mountain state remote producer though, I’m your man.

I still can’t figure out why the car culture arm of GM should be centered in a city that does its best to discourages car ownership.

You guys adding on, or replacing?
