At first we thought the 2014 Corvette would have 450 horsepower and 450 pound feet of torque. Then, this weekend we heard the power figures could be 455 horsepower, 460 pound feet. But both were wrong. The Stingray will come out of the factory with 460 horsepower and 465 pound feet. Not too shabby.
That makes the Stingray just 45 horsepower shy of the last generation Z06, and we all know what a monster that guy was.
It also means that for $52,000, you can have a nearly 500 horsepower American muscle car that promises to have a better interior than ever and looks fantastic from the outside.

And what exactly will be under the hood of the Z06 and ZR1 that are sure to come soon? I can't wait to find out.
