Is The Porsche Cayman GT4 Really Better Than A 911?

When the Porsche Cayman GT4 came around earlier this year, there were whispers that the new car could outshine the 911 GT3. With only the option of a manual transmission, the GT4 entered the scene boasting 385 horsepower and top speed of 183 mph. The car does borrow from its Porsche relative, the 911, by virtue of its front suspension and steering, as well as the rear brakes.

It’s perfectly acceptable to drool over both cars, but is one Porsche model better than the other? Has a new car taken the 911’s crown in the Porsche camp?
