Infiniti's Prototype 10 Concept Car Looks Like a Single-Seater Torpedo

Infiniti, a luxury car brand that we have increasingly questioned the point of, admittedly does concepts well. Past design studies have been both retro and sleek and the automaker’s newest Prototype 10 concept car doesn’t seem like it will be any different.

At the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Infiniti will show off the new concept, which it calls “a daring electrified speedster” that will hopefully preview the brand’s electric car future. You’ll recognize the sleek lines from the Q Inspiration Concept that we saw at this year Detroit Auto Show.

The Prototype 9, the concept that preceded the 10, couldn’t be any more different. True, it was also a single-seater, but it had wholly retro looks about it, like something you’d see at a Grand Prix race in the 1950s.

The Prototype 10 is sleek, completely covered up and looks like it could shoot easily through murky ocean waters. If Infiniti were to ever design personal submarines, I’d hope it starts here.
