Infiniti stuffing 5.6-liter V8 in a boat

I hope to soon scream "I'm on a boat... powered by a 5.6-liter V8 pulled out of an Infiniti QX56." Seriously, Infinit's donated their friendly alien monster luxury SUV to the Tennessee Technical Center-Nashville/Nashville State Community college to have the engine sucked out and readied for placement in an actual watercraft.

I've heard about this project for a while so it's nice to see it one step closer to completion. Infiniti's Kyle Bazemore wouldn't stop talking about it on a Southwest flight we randomly shared from Nashville to Detroit. He was like the rest of us are with El Caminos.

The students involved in the project can look forward to pulling all the parts out of the drivetrain that are no longer necessary for a marine engine.

With 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, whatever the final boat looks like (they attached a typically wispy Infiniti drawing) I look forwarding to be able to tow a boat powered by the same engine as the tow vehicle.
