In Mexico, You Can Go To Jail For 20 Years For Terrorism If Your Motorcycle Is Too Loud

The constant threat of narco-terrorism has everyone in Mexico on edge, which might explain why a pair of motorcycles backfiring sent crowds scattering in San Luis Potosi, Mexico this weekend. It's also why authorities in the town are charging the motorcyclists with terrorism.

C'mon, folks. loud pipes save lives. How many times do we need to tell you?

There's some debate as to whether or not the two motorcyclists intentionally revved their bikes in order to set off a stampede during an Easter week celebration, but no one is disputing the property damage and injuries that resulted. Both men have been charged under the country's terrorism laws and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted, even if it's highly unlikely.

So, next time you're in Mexico, keep loud noises to a minimum.
