Race Cars Are Better When You Can Drive Them To The Track

Hauling your race car with a truck and trailer is one of the biggest mental and financial costs of motorsports. Things are just better with a street-legal machine.

This is Bradley Price, founder of his exceptionally stylish auto-inspired watch company Autodromo. He bought himself a 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce, which he races at Vintage Sports Car Club of America events like the one that Petrolicious shot at Lime Rock Park in this video.

The best part is all he needs to do to run at the track is stuff the (rather sizable) trunk with his racing gear and tires and show up. No truck, no trailer, no nothing. That means less time, less stress, and less cost involved in the whole act of racing.

What I wouldn’t give for that kind of set up.
