I Thought You Said It Was All New

Welcome to Paper Jam, the feature where we highlight the best automotive advertisements from the past! Print might be nearly dead, but our scanners are just getting warmed up.

We changed everything about the Falcon for 1964, except for its remarkable fuel economy. New is the styling, the roominess, the ride thanks to our new suspension and wider tread, and there’s even a rally-proven V8 on the options list. It’s remarkable. Please ignore the fact that the Mustang is just about to hit the stage, because the ‘64 Falcon is all new, except for the economy part. That’s as good as it was last year, while the Falcon is better, in every way.

Call the Ford Motor Company, makers of Falcons, Fairlanes and Thunderbirds, but not the Mustangs. Not yet.
