Today, I discovered the reason YouTube exists. No, not cat videos. The real reason is so that you, I, and everyone else in the world can watch a Ferrari Enzo ZXX and a Maserati MC12 Corsa do battle on the Nürburgring.
This video is visually and aurally stunning on a level that can only be delivered by two Italian hypercars-turned-racing cars tackling the world's greatest track.
Both cars, as you may know, were derived from the Enzo chassis, but developed in different ways. They were insane to begin with but they've been tuned by Edo-Competition to be even more batshit crazy here. Their MC12 has a 6.0-liter V12 good for 755 horsepower, and their Enzo has a 6.3-liter V12 that puts out 840 horsepower.
Oh yeah, and the Enzo is driven by ace driver and 'Ring Queen Sabine Schmitz! Can this get any better? I don't think so.
The Maser has the cameras here, and the Enzo chases it down. I won't spoil who wins, except to say that we're all winners for having seen this clip.
