If you're into racing, you've no doubt dreamed about doing a few hot laps around the Nürburgring. Maybe you've been lucky enough to actually go there and live to tell the tale. But if you haven't, there's one thing you need to know about the 'Ring: it's really, really hard.
Alex Goy of XCAR recently took a trip to the 'Ring for a driving school event on Porsche's behalf. It was his first time doing so, and he was kind enough to bring some cameras along for the ride.
So how do you drive on the world's most notoriously dangerous and difficult race course? According to Goy, you a whole bunch of Gran Turismo and Forza ahead of time, listen to your instructors, pay attention very carefully when you're driving, take advantage of your 911 Carrera S' capabilities, don't drive above your own abilities, and try not to sweat through your shirt. It must have worked, as he pulled off a lap in under 10 minutes.
Also, don't crash. That's a big one.
