Robinson bought a 1986 Honda VFR750 on Craigslist, got it running and then entered it in Bonneville's Run-Whatcha-Brung class. But are two wheels enough to inspire true salt fever? It is, if you ask some of the moto regulars who inhabit the flats, which Robinson does.

But is a motorcycle, good stomach balance and a pair of underpants all you need to go fast at Bonneville? Maybe if you're the famous semi-nude motorcycle racer John Edgar, but probably not if you're Jamie Robinson.
