How not to repair your headlight

A shattered lens is a sure recipe for headlight failure, but the owner of this Ford Focus has managed to fail even more in their attempt to remedy the problem.

Take a close look at the lamp. What is it? It's hard to tell at first but if you un-focus your eyes you'll notice the outline of what looks like a pair of pliers and possibly a vice grip. Yep, it's a blister pack from a cheap tool set either burned, blown, or merely aged by sunlight after being shoved into the headlight. Brilliant.

This particular Focus was spotted at a Myrtle Beach area mall parking lot where the owner, we're guessing, was in search of cheap towels they planned to duct tape into a comforter.
