How Do You Support A Crew Of Bikers?

Illustration for article titled How Do You Support A Crew Of Bikers?

This weekend I'm going to support a group of friends who are biking a large chunk of the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway by driving the support vehicle. In this case, a lovely Nissan Quest I borrowed from Nissan. I know how to drive, but I don't know anything about bicyclists. What do I need to do?

Here are my biggest questions:

  • Do I drive ahead of them, behind them, with them?
  • What do I need to bring?
  • How often should I laugh at them because they're tired and I'm in a van?
  • Why are they biking this far when they can drive?

Ok, thanks.

My X-type is too a real Jaguar

You follow them, bring water, poweraid etc.

They should supply the van with extra tires, tubes, air pumps and tools.

Laugh anytime you are alone in the van.

Because wearing Bicycle Shorts in car would look dumb.
