The Internet makes it easy to identify yourself by your preferences. You can "like" Fords on Facebook, retweet Audi's official account incessantly, and post pics of your Oldmobile V8-powered Chevy truck in #oppo. But how do you do the same in real life? How do you spot another gearhead?

This comes from a conversation I had with Patrick George yesterday as we were walking away from the Inauguration and marveling over the kinds of random cars only truly afflicted gearheads find interesting.

As a test, I devised a question: Isn't it a shame what they're doing with Lancia?
