John O'Quinn, who made a bundle in a tobacco lawsuit, was the subject of one of our sadly-neglected Schadenfriday! posts a while back after losing over a mil to an ex-con employee. But that apparently can't stop O'Quinn, who dropped $500,000 on a charity Gallardo autographed by Regis Philbin and Paula Abdul, among others. He also added to his papal vehicle collection, picking up a 1938 Cadillac Town Car used by Pope Pius XII to sit next to John Paul II's old Escort, as well as the Batman Forevermobile. We suppose that when you spend in a weekend what you lost to a criminal, you're not doing too badly.
