Screw North American sales! GM's gone global, baby — pushing up sales outside of North America by 148,000 in the first quarter of 2006. That's a non-North American sales increase of 15.9%; twice the industry growth rate of 7.4%. Good news for the General, what with their decline in North American sales over the same period of 5.5% and all. Man — if GM keeps this up, it's gonna totally force us in the media to change our storyline for GM from "FUBAR" to "You Can Do It!" Yeah, like we're going to do actual work. Pffft.
