Finally, some good news from IndyCar. Yesterday we learned that injuries sustained by James Hinchcliffe in his terrible crash at Indy were far worse than we thought. The suspension went through his leg and into his pelvis, causing extreme bleeding. But today he’s improved greatly and is expected to recover fully.

Hinch was moved out of the ICU at Methodist Hospital and is expected to “make a normal recovery” and he won’t need further surgery. There is no timetable as to when he’ll be back behind the wheel, but just hearing that he’s on the road to recovery is a relief after the severity of the injuries we found out yesterday.

Get well soon, Hinch!
