Hiker finds Porsche left in a lagoon

A hiker out for a nature walk around the Agua Hedionda lagoon in Carlsbad, CA, on Tuesday morning was startled to find tracks leading to this very unusual water-bound creature — a Porsche Cayman S.

The Cayman had apparently made like its namesake, a close relative of the alligator, and gone for a dip in the reedy murk the night before.

Police used the car's registration to track down the owner (name withheld, possibly to protect him from hordes of vengeful PCA members), who claimed that he had left the scene of his unintended excursion to seek medical attention. At of this time, neither alcohol nor pelicans were believed to be involved in the crash.
