Hey World, Meet The Chevy Trax

What the world needs right now is yet another over-styled, utility and sport-free crossover, am I right? GM sure thinks I am, this new Chevy Trax combines the high center of gravity, compromised interior space and crappy driving dynamics of an SUV with the styling of a Transformers movie.

Debuting at the Paris Motor Show in September (because over-styled GM crossovers are tres chic), the five-passenger shitbox will depress consumers in over 140 countries, excluding the US. GM feels we're already adequately burdened with the Equinox. Yeah, I can't remember which one that is either so we'll just assume it has a grey rat fur interior.

"The Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy and car-like handling that urban explorers around the world require," stated GM Senior VP of Product Development Mary Barra. Mary, if buyers want "car-like" handling, good fuel-economy and interior flexibility, won't they just buy a diesel hatchback? We would.

If you're waiting with baited breath for details, and we'll guess you're not, expect them come September.
