FoMoCo may sell Hertz. We've refused to rent from them since the 1998 HOW convention in San Diego when they screwed us in the fine print. The desk lady said one thing, the contract said another, and we were out forty more bucks for our Plymouth Breeze Expresso. Despite our non-patronage, Hertz is apparently one of the better-performing divisions of Ford. Big Willie Clay hasn't come to a final decision yet, although we did find his assertion that Ford has a "continued de-emphasis of selling vehicles to the daily rental companies" rather humorous. Is that why you replaced the Taurus with the Five Hundred, Bill? If we were Drudge, it would say "Developing..." right here.
