Hartge Tunes the BMW 6 Series

German tuning shop, Hartge, recently introduced its tricked-out take of BMW's luscious new 6 Series coupe. Engineers tweaked the stock V8 with a new crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods and custom-tuned engine mapping, resulting in 420hp and nearly 400 ft/lbs of torque. It's not a Brabus-style super screamer, to be sure, or quite as much a looker as the Hamann-tuned 6 Series, but is still an elegant, road-managable choice for people who can't leave well enough alone. Consider it the Six Sigma of tuning schemes.
