Hammann's Nanny-Free, 200mph BMW M5

BMW tuning specialist Hamann has introduced a new tuning package for the M5 that not only boosts horsepower to over 600 (and torque to 423 ft-lbs), but also overrides the top-speed nanny, raising the threshold from 155mph to 203mph. They do it with a set of high-performance headers and sports catalysts, along with a sound remapping of the V10's engine computer. An aerodynamics kit improves downforce to make such speeds less an exercise in gravity defiance, while suspension tweaks keep the sedan from 'a rockin' when the curves come a' knockin'. (don't even get use started on the brakes). The Hamann release indicates that beyond the boost in performance, the tuner M5 produces an exhaust note that can "give you goosebumps." Yikes.
