Forget everything you've ever heard from conspiracy theorists except one: Insurance companies are the true world order. That's why, according to a piece in today's USA Today, Ford worked with insurance company researchers to design its new Mustang to be insurance friendly — in effect, kissing the hand that most often rummages through drivers' wallets. The company built components to be cheaper to fix after accidents, including headlights positioned to be less prone to break during fender benders, and bumpers that exceed current 3mph standards. They've also made the Mustang harder to steal, though if they told you how, they'd have to have you "deprogrammed."
